is filled with happy activities like decorating packages for a baby shower...

Thanks, all. If only all my days were this peaceful - school starts today and quietude is hardly a word I'd apply to my job, though FUN will do nicely.
Hurricane Earl poses a slight threat to the festivities on Saturday as some folks have to travel out of the projected wind/rain bands, the main one being the guest of honor! In this case, the word shower might be all too applicable!
