Up With the Sun

If I hadn't risen early this morning I might not have taken a walk, in which case I would have missed the sun rising into the orchid mist.

I would not have seen the dew-spangled spider's web clinging to the fence rails,

nor noticed how perfectly the pond mirrors the trees that border it's banks.

I would not have come upon the yellow gowned forsythia that holds court at the entrance to my neighbor's drive,

and I would have missed the hyacinth blooming at my own doorstep.

Yeh, like Judith I'm certain you're making it all up. Oh, I remember, that's why your writing is so darn wonderful, smitten with orchid mist and a'that. :-)

Brian - I'm no photographer but I know beauty when i see it :)

Steven - that's one reason I get up every morning - to see what I will see! One never knows what treat the day will bring!

Molly - finally, finally! And yes, thank, I had a lovely Easter celebrating a birthday with one of my little students who lives around the corner. My kids were all with other relatives and my invitation to the birthday was a great treat!

Judith - I did see every one! Some days are just wrapped up in beauty!

Brian - :) I live in a place where I don't have to make up the beauty - it's all around me. All I have to do is pay attention

Ahhhh, I too feel like this so often on my walks. A swan, leaves, the play of the water -- keep thinking "I'm so grateful to be here among all this.

Bet your hyacinth smells AWESOME!!
