It's been a successful day - the two patio chairs (white metal and free from a tag sale) are now painted green to match the table. The two wicker chairs rescued from the transfer station are pale yellow and pale blue. The basil and parsley have been planted along with mint and chives in the patio herb garden and the lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, swiss chard and beans will go into the garden tomorrow morning. Come for iced tea!

A new life for the chair. It looks fantastic. Our dump only has old grills!
I'm impressed with your green halo, P. Last week I finished making a new herb garden tub, from timber which was being recycled at our local centre.
It looks beautiful and inviting! You are so resourceful. I'll have a little lemon in my tea, please!
Wow, I love it. Are you now sewing some cushions for them AM?
Did I hear someone say, "Come for iced tea?"
I will so, and I want the wicker chair. It looks as cozy as a royal throne.
It is always wonderful to give your own life to other things. When you change an object with your creativity is the ultimate. It gives you a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that now, you have left a part of you on things others, as well as yourself, can enjoy.
My Tea with a little honey please.
Have great Day
Looks great!
And glad to see no mention of zucchini.
I have a theory that once global warming gets really bad the zucchini are going to seize the opportunity to take over.
What fun, organising your outdoor area, & getting your herbs planted.
ruth - the transfer station is a gold mine of discarded treasures. Besides, the return policy is great ;)
Sounds good B. I've been green for a long time - since the log cabin Vermont days - and beyond, even. My parents were greeenies way back when...
Barbara - it's called Yankee ingenuity ;)
Flea - hello my AD! Yes I've either made or slipcovered pillows for all four chairs.
Roberta - take your pick - blue or yellow?
thanks Dave - you're right. Investing ones self in something creates a positive energy (and it's fun!)
lol Paul! That will be a separate post ;)
meggie - if you're ever in the US come by and say hello!
Hi Pauline. We're working on a return visit to the Berkshires but I don't think it will be this year, which is a shame. Fingers crossed for next spring, perhaps, to see those very late daffodils you have!
lovely thought, Dave! My door is always open - if it's warm enough, we can have tea on the patio! Keep me posted...
