Love all the recent pictures. Did you take this or have it taken? I use the 10 second timer sometimes to take self-portraits, but I'm rarely satisfied with results. Not enough control of the light and the angle, and it has to be reset each time, all that running back and forth...I'm far too lazy. Luckily, I'm much more accommodating of my limitations as far as looks go.
ReplyDeleteThis was taken in the classroom - we had just finished a poetry unit and I was listening to the kids read their poems aloud to their parents and classmates at an "Author's Tea." I seldom let people take my picture but the kids were excited about this one. "Look how hard your listening," said one. So I kept it.

I love this..so interesting, especially your rainbow answer! (Most would have felt they need to say 1 colour) I knew that was in the clasroom! I always wore my hair up in school..out of the way of those horrible lice creatures that are numerous at times in Gr. 2/3 classrooms!

MOI - I had short hair for years but I interviewed a local hairdresser for a newspaper article. She cut hair for free if it was donated to Locks of Love. She encouraged me to grow mine (it's been two years; it was drastically short when I started). The hairdresser has since succombed to her own cancer so I am growing my hair out in memory of her. I have another two inches or so to go before my ponytail is the requisite ten inches. I have to tie it up for classroom work - it gets in my way when I lean over those little desks :)

ReplyDeleteHuh - I can't see the boxes. I'm working on a MAC and blogger sometimes acts very oddly. Perhaps it's that?
